This is your first line of defense and your bases of what you should do and should not do. You can use this against others or it can be used against you, thus you should know where you are standing.  Privacy is a right. Anyone should be aware that they are recorded, in document, audio, visual, etc. You as a data subject must be informed by anyone that want to record or gather data about you. Likewise, you should be responsible to inform other data subject if you will gather their data. Simple signage, or notice will do. For example, the “beware of dogs” can be consider since you are held responsible if someone that has been bitten by your dog, but the best example is the “this establishment is protected by CCTV” and “this site collects cookies” and the like.
