    FREE. Free. Get some freebies here. If not anyone, most of us can be easily attracted in frees. From the free taste, which is one of the reasons why I go with my mom when she will go shopping during my childhood days, to the add-on in the products in the grocery store. It is also one of the best way to attract customers such as a haircut salon which also offers free massage to their customers. Even with the involvement of the technology there are also frees. Just like free WiFi, anyone loves that right? Why would you spend in data plan if there is a free WiFi right? Guess what, hackers and attackers loves that more than you do. Why? Because of free data.

    Minimize and if possible avoid connecting public and free WiFi because hackers or attackers can see and get your data trough that network. This also include the use of public computer shop, if possible, avoid transactions especially if it involves transfer of data or financial transaction, you won’t know right away if the owner or other customer/s has a hidden intention. 

    How? As for public WiFi, there might be a user in the same network that can sniff with the use of various tools in which they can oversee your transactions. In public computer shops, based on my experience, some application that is used in managing the time of the renters that is used by owners or the cashier can see or they are able to see your screen, in other words, it can be also consider as a spyware and it is clearly a violation of the Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012. And if that power falls in the wrong hands, the data that are gathered can be used later or will be sell in black market or dark web without your knowledge .
